According to national and international legislation, the rights of an author of a literary or artistic work within the directives of the Berne Convention and Copyright Act of the Greek State (2121/93), shall run for the life of the author and for 70 years after his death.
Nikos Kazantzakis died on October 26, 1957. Eleni N. Kazantzakis died on February 18, 2004. Consequently, the works of Nikos Kazantzakis will fall into public domain in 2027 and the works of Eleni N. Kazantzakis in 2074.
