128 YEARS FROM THE BIRTH OF NIKOS KAZANTZAKIS

128 years to this very day, Nikos Kazantzakis was born in Heraklion, Crete on a Friday, the 'holy day of souls'. On the back of a Byzantine icon hanging on the wall, his father, Kapetan Michalis, inscribed the date: February 18, 1883.
